The Border Stack dogs are a mix of the Border Collie, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier/the Jack Russel Terrier. These dogs have been produced purely for sports for their agility and athletic traits. They are not for new pet owners because they are very busy and intense dogs. These dogs need to do something. They also need lots of exercise daily.
The Border Stack dogs come in black and white colouring although some may be seen in brown and white colour combination.
Their coat is short and is held tightly to the skin.
They are brought up for flyball and other games and these dogs have those traits but they show their athletic skills, power and speed when they enter the playing field. They are happy to lounge when at home. These dogs are very intelligent.
They are average shedders and will need a regular brushing of coat to remove excessive hairs. Bathe when necessary.
They are fast and quick learners and learn new tricks quickly and easily. They are not difficult to train.
They are typical sports dogs and hence they have lots of energy. They require a sportsman routine when it comes to exercise. Daily long walks and playing sessions are necessary for these dogs.
