They are loving and amusing dogs that are excellent family pets with proper training.

Their coat is short and fine and needs regular brushing and bathing.
The Bullypit dogs are very loving and affectionate to their family. They are brave and courageous with an alert nature. This makes them very good watch.guard dogs. These dogs need necessary early age training to be good and social with children. Once accustomed, they will make great playmates and protective dogs for children. These dogs have a tendency to fight with other pets specially dogs. This aggression can be reduced to some extent if they are provided early age obedience and socialization training. They are very active dogs and will need a firm leader who can be their pack leader otherwise they will try to become pack leaders themselves and start misbehaving. A weak owner who can not establish his authority over these dogs should not pick them as family pets.
Early age obedience training is necessary for these dogs as well as pack leader qualities in owner.
They are trainable dogs with gentle yet firm and consistent training routines.
They are high energy dogs and will need fair amount of physical activities. A daily walk as well as playing time is essential for this dog breed.
