The Fourche Terrier is a mix between a purebred West Highland White Terrier and a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
These dogs are small in size with an average height of 9 inches and weight of 15 pounds. They are loyal, cheerful and active dogs that love to be part of family.

PERSONALITY
The Fourche Terriers are loyal and protective, loving but some may display independent and solitude attitude. These dogs are social, affectionate and generally good with children although children should be taught not to tease these dogs by pulling ears or rough handling.
They are very loyal dogs and bond themselves strongly with their family. They like to get attention and be part of the family. They are alert and suspicious of strangers and will make good watch dogs.
CARE
Play with children should be supervised as they may not tolerate rough handling. Their coat may require minimal to moderate grooming.

They are stubborn to some extent and will require a hard working, firm and consistent trainer who is ready to put in lots of hard work with these dogs.
