The Lhasalier is a mix between a purebred Cocker Spaniel and a purebred Lhasa Apso. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds. The Lhasaliers are small in size with a height of 18 inches or less and a weight around 18 pounds. They are sweet and gentle dogs that are intelligent too. They are versatile dogs as they are good with all ages, from children to seniors. These dogs are naturally wary of strangers but will mix up with them after proper socialization. The Lhasaliers are good family pets and are found in different colours. Their coat can be a mix of both parent breeds or it can take more to one parent breed, may it be Lhasa Apso or Spaniel.
They are found in black, black and tan and white colours or any mix of these colours.

They are very loving and family oriented and love to be with their family most of the time. They like to cuddle up to their owner and enjoy getting attention. They like to play and enjoy with them. They are very good with other dogs and pets in the family. They are versatile dogs that are suitable for all ages. The Lhasalier dogs are alert and wary of strangers and can make good watch/guard dogs. Their social instincts make them friendly with all and after initial wariness of strangers, they will mix up with them after proper introduction. The hair between their pads need to be trimmed. Their coat require average to moderate grooming.
They are very intelligent dogs that are easy to train. They are eager and willing to please their owners and gentle and reward based training will make them easy learners.
These dogs have high energy levels and will need fair amount of exercise to keep their energy levels under control. Lack of physical activities will trigger undesirable behavior in these dogs and they may bark or chew.
