The Afghan Retriever is not a pure breed rather it is a cross breed between Afghan hound and Golden Retriever purebreds.
They have long face and small eyes. Hair is more coarse.
Color
The afghan Retriever dogs come in yellow- brown and dark brown.
Coat
Their coat is wavy, thick and short.
Personality
They are generally obedient dogs.
Care
These breeds sheds averagely. Regular brushing should done to remove excess hair and refrain matting. Bathing should be done when necessary.
Training
These breeds are smart and easy to train. Trainer should be gentle with a firm hand, fair, consistent and lots of patience.
Activity
The Afghan Retrievers need extreme exercises to burn off their energies. They are playful, lively and active indoors. They will require plenty of routine exercises, daily walks and runs, a large room to roam around and some outdoor activities.
