The Akita Shepherd dogs are a result of cross breed between German Shepherd and Akita Inu purebreds.It has a sturdy , muscular and slightly elongated body with a light but solid bone structure.

Coat comes in black with tan, sable or all black.
Coat
The coat of the Akita Shepherd is medium in length, thick, straight or can be slightly wavy. The outer coat is harsh and the under coat is soft and dense.
Personality
They are often considered work dogs and are fearless, direct, bold, eager and alert. They are eager to learn, they are also known for their loyalty and courage. They are calm and serious but not hostile.
Care
They can live in an apartment but ideally would require larger space for exercise and play. They shed hair heavily so daily brushing is necessary.
