The American Bandogge Mastiff, often referred to as American Bandogge, is an impressive athletic breed. This breed is a mix of American Bulldog and Mastiff. These dogs will need a dominant owner and will do best when socialized early and given the proper attention they needed.
According to breed standards, the American Bandogge Mastiff should be between 23 and 29 inches tall, when measured from the ground to the withers, with males being larger than females. Their weight should be between 85 and 140 pounds. The breed has a well-muscled and nicely proportioned body. The triangular ears are held in the upright, pricked position and are placed rather far apart. The lips have the overhanging flews that all bulldog type breeds share in common. The nose is black in color with large nostrils. The jaw is strong and the muzzle is slightly pushed back. The eyes are widely set, holding an expression of sensitivity and that tired look.
Today, this breed is accepted for registry in the ACHC, the DDKC, and the DRA.
