Breed Details

General

The American Bullador is a hybrid cross between the American Bulldog and Labrador Retriever. They are great watchdogs and best companion dogs for the family. They are friendly, loving, affectionate, charming, active, loyal and protective. They establish good relationship with children and other pets raised with them, given that they have the proper training needed.

Color

The American Bulladors usually comes in solid black, yellow or pale to deep "chocolate", brindle or red patches as red-brown, shades of tan and brown.

Coat

The coat of the American Bullador is dense, water-resistant, short and stiff to touch.

Personality

The American Bullador is known to be very loyal to its master, can be territorial and protective when it comes to the family. Aggressiveness can be controlled with proper training. They known to be gentle, loving family companion, yet fearless and courageous enough to protect their master from intruders. They are aloof to strangers and make a good watchdog.

Care

This breed sheds very little to none. Minimal brushing is needed and occasional grooming to keep their coat healthy and good looking. Bathe only when necessary.

Training

The American Bullador is highly intelligent and very easy to train. Like their Labrador Retriever parent, they are open minded and accepts commands from their master. These breeds are not best for inexperienced owners. Early socialization and training is recommended. Training should be firm, fair, consistent and gentle.

Activity

The American Bullador is very playful, energetic and active indoors. They require high amount of daily routine exercises to burn off their energy. Tiring them will refrain them from getting bored and being destructive, noisy and mischievous. They can also dwell in an apartment, given that they have enough exercises.
