Breed Details

General

The American Eagle dog is the product of cross breed between the American Eskimo and the Beagle pure breeds and displays characteristics of both parents. This dog breed has medium sized body like an American Eskimo and face and ears of a Beagle. They are barky and needs to be properly trained otherwise they will bark to any noise. They love to be with their human family and are a fun dog to have.

Color

The skin colour of an American Eagle dog is pink or grey and their eyelids, gums, nose and footpads are black.

Coat

Their coat colouring is white or white with light cream coloured markings. Also found is white with brown spots, brown with tan or black spots. These dogs have a heavy coat around neck, specially prominent in male American Eagles.

Personality

They want to be with their human pack most of the time and can be a hazard if left alone on their own. They are loving, intelligent and fun dogs to have. They socialize with people very well but introduction to small animals should be started ASAP. They are quite outgoing.

Care

Regular exercise in the form of walk for atleast two hours a day is recommended for these dogs as they have a tendency to put on weight if not properly exercised.

Training

The American Eagle dogs are very intelligent and to train them is a fun itself as they learn quickly and respond well to the owner.

Activity

Regular exercise or regular walk is very important for these dogs and they would require two hours of walk daily.
