The American French Bulldog is designer dog cross between the American Bulldog and French Bulldog. They are sweet, loving, fun, good with children and other pets raised with them. They make a wonderful family companion. Like both Bulldog parents, they are protective when it comes to the family.
The American French Bulldog comes in colors of black, brown, tan, yellow to brownish, fawn, cream with white little markings on their body.
This breed has a short, silky and dense coat that is very easy to care.
This breed, as a direct lineage from the bulldog family, is very delightful, friendly, gregarious but occasionally willful. They have a muscular appearance on their face and a strong body. They are very friendly with children and other pets. They are known to be loyal to their masters and make great family companions.
They shed very little to none and will only need minimal brushing of their coat. Bathing is important to always keep them clean and should be done when necessary. Use a mild soap to refrain possible skin irritations and allergies.
The American French Bulldog is not suitable for inexperienced owners. They need someone who has the skill of training stubborn dogs effectively. Someone with a firm hand, gentle, fair, consistent and with a lot of patience are recommended. They will not respond to being harsh but with positive reinforcement.
These breeds are active indoors and can dwell in apartment living. They are very playful, lively, energetic and will require above average exercise. They will need regular walks, lots of outdoor activities and a room to run.
