This dog is resulted from cross breeding of the American Rat Terrier and Miniature Pinscher. They have black and tan covering on face giving it a perky look. Ears are large and erect and the whole body structure gives out a tiny look.
Body colour of the American Rat Terrier is chocolate, red,sable, pearl, black & tan, blue & white, red & white, red & brindle or tri-spotted.
These breed has a single coat that is short, smooth, shiny and silky.
They are very loving dogs and try to please their owners. These dogs are energetic and curious and quick learners. They should be socialized with other smaller pets in the house otherwise, they can think of other pets as their food. When this dog is hunting, it is fearless, courageous and full of energy while when not hunting, it is very easy to go and a fun dog to have.
Care should be taken with upraising of these dogs.
They are quick learners due to their intelligence and curiosity. Should be properly trained to behave well with other pets in the family.
They need moderate exercise routine so that they can give out their extra energy. One hour walk is recommended for the American Rat Pinscher.
