General

The Aussie Bulldog, also known as the Australian Bulldog. They have a wonderful personality typical of the British Bulldog and Bullmastiff. They are docile, affectionate companion and yet will be playful and active. The Aussie Bulldog is recognized as a great family bulldog that is healthy , versatile and impressive looking. They make a great life companion.

Color

They come in different colors including apricot, fawn, orange, red, mahogany and white. Some may have brindle coloring in black, red, fawn, silver, mahogany.

Coat

Their coat is soft, short and smooth.

Personality

The Aussie Bulldog is a happy, loyal dog and calm companion. They can get along well with children and other dogs as long as they are provided with the proper training. Bulldogs are also characterized by their forbidding looks. People who do not know the breed are usually terrified with their temperament and sour appearance. They have to be handled with an experienced owners and be trained well to keep their temperament well-balanced.

Care

They shed minimal to none. This breed is very easy to take care and groom. Bathing should be done when necessary and always keep them clean to maintain proper hygiene.

Training

This breed is not very difficult to train because they are eager to please their owner. They are intelligent and learns quickly. They are not best for inexperienced owners as they can be hard and stubborn at times. Early socialization and obedience training is recommended as early as puppyhood.

Activity

This breed is not recommended for apartment dwelling life. They are an indoor dog and is not recommended to be left outside all day in a kennel. They can be good for every climate and are well-tempered for favorable weathers. Moderate exercise is needed for this breed to burn off their energies and tire them. A large space to roam around would be a bonus for them.
