This hybrid is the product of the Australian Shepherd purebred and the Golden Retriever purebred. These dogs are medium in size and make good watch dogs.
Color
They are golden brown and golden blonde in colour. Sometimes, they can be in black with a white patch on her chest.
Coat
The coat of Australian Retrievers is stiff and tough to touch and can be coarse or not. It can be straight or slightly wavy.
Personality
The Australian Retriever is a loving dogs and make for a great family dog. They loves being around with people and enjoys when they get the attention they needed. These breeds can do well with children around and even with other pets, especially those that have been raised with them. They are affectionate, playful, energetic and make a good family companion.
Care
The Australian Retrievers are moderate shedders. They will require regular brushing or grooming to maintain their good looking coat. Bathing should be done when necessary using mild soap, not to damage the skin and cause allergies.
Training
They are very intelligent and hence can be easily trained.
Activity
They need regular walk sessions and exercise. Daily walk of one to two hours is recommended for this breed.
