Breed Details

General

The Bagle Hound is a hybrid breed which is a result of cross breeding of the Basset Hound and the Beagle purebreds. They have a beagle like face but resemble a basset in their height, long velvety ears and disposition. They display characters of a great hound and can follow a smell. They are amazingly playful and social but also display some laziness.

Color

They usually come in lemon (blonde & white), orange & white, tan, brown or in any combination.

Coat

The coat of this breed is short, dense, harsh and water-resistant.

Personality

They are very loyal, good listeners, very social and incredibly playful.They love to play games specially hide and fetching games.

Care

This breed will need average grooming and brushing as they shed moderately. Bathing should be done when necessary to always keep them clean. Early socialization and training is recommended.

Training

They are intelligent dogs and learn fast and quick.
