Breed Details
General
The Baskimo dogs are not purebred dogs, rather they are produced by cross breeding between the American Eskimo and the Basset Hound purebreds. They are short, compact and very sturdy dogs. They can be distinguished by their long head and long muzzle. They may have droopy eyes.
Color
They come in black, white and tawny colours.
Coat
The coat of the Baskimo is short and thick.
Personality
These dogs are very loving, sweet, family oriented, friendly and intelligent. They have low to moderate energy levels and can display their smell trait and protective instinct.
Care
This breed sheds moderately. Regular brushing is recommended. Grooming is also needed to refrain matting and remove excessive hair.
Training
They are intelligent dogs and are easily trained.
Activity
They have low to moderate energy levels and will be happy with a walk for an hour or so regularly.
