Breed Details

General

The Bassetoodle is a hybrid and a mix of the Basset Hound and the Poodle purebreds. These designers' dogs are medium sized that stand long and low to the ground. They are scent trackers and very curious.

Color

This breed comes in combinations of black, brown to tan, white and black.

Coat

The coat of this breed is thick, wiry, double coated, slightly wavy or straight.

Personality

They are loving animals and ideal for every one in the family. They are curious and go after anything that is lying in their way. They may show some stubbornness and should be dealt with firm authority.

Care

A bath every two week will keep their coat free of tangles. Regular brushing will keep house free of shedding as they are fair shedders.

Training

They are easy to train although sometimes, they may show some stubborn behavior and should be dealt with firm action.

Activity

They like to play and exercise. Regular walk and play session indoor or outdoor keeps them happy.
