Breed Details

General

The Basston is produced by cross breeding between the Basset Hound and the Boston Terrier purebreds. They make a good family pet as they are generally very loving and caring dogs.

Color

White with sand, brown or chestnut markings.

Coat

These dogs have short and fine coat.

Personality

These dogs are gentle yet alert breed and get along very well with humans and other dogs or pets. Aggression is minimal. They may show stubborn behavior during housebreaking but should be dealt with firm training sessions.

Care

They are average shedders. Regular brushing of coat is recommended.

Training

They are good learners and can be trained easily.

Activity

These dogs do not require lots of exercise or walk. Some indoor play and a short walk keeps them happy.
