Breed Details

General

The Beaglier is a hybrid dog that is produced by cross breeding between the Beagle and the Cavalier King Charles purebreds. This hybrid is very lively, athletic and active. They have short muzzle and a small to medium size.

Color

The Beagliers are usually brown and white.

Coat

Their coat is medium in length and can be short and hard. Sometimes it can be wavy and silky.

Personality

They are loving and gentle dogs which are specially caring with children. They are calm yet energetic and are best suited to younger and active family members who can match their energy levels. They are great family dogs and get along well with other pets in the family. They are very good watchdogs and will alert the family if anything unusual happens around them.

Care

Regular brushing is needed. Bath is needed when necessary. Ears should be cleaned regularly.

Training

They have a tendency to be stubborn and early socialization and training is recommended for these dogs.

Activity

They are very energetic and love to play and run. They should be taken for walk and exercises. They love to run and chase due to their hunting traits and hence should not be allowed unleashed in unsecured areas.
