Breed Details

General

The Biton is a designer breed cross between the Bichon Frise and Coton de Tulear. This breed, like its parent, is naturally friendly, active, alert and gentle. They get along well with children and other dogs. They make a wonderful family companion. Despite their size, they also make a great watchdog.

Color

The Biton commonly comes in solid white. Off whites such as gray or apricots are also acceptable but preferred to be in white.

Coat

The coat of this breed is thick, soft to touch, lustrous and fluffy.

Personality

They are friendly, energetic, lively, affectionate, normally active indoors and loves to please their owners. They love it when they get the attention they needed. They do well along with children and other dogs, especially those that have been raised with them. With combination of both parents, these dogs are a gentle and calm breed.

Care

The Bitons are minimal shedders. Grooming maintenance is advised to keep their coat good looking and to keep them clean. bathing should be done when necessary using a mild soap or hypoallergenic to refrain possible skin irritations and allergies.

Training

They are intelligent breeds and highly trainable. They will require training with a firm hand, fair, gentle and consistent.

Activity

These breeds are playful, lively and normally active indoors. They are perfectly suited for apartment life. Moderate exercise is needed to burn off their energies.
