Breed Details

General

The BoShih dogs are made up by mixing a Boston Terrier and a Shih Tzu purebreds. These dogs are called hybrid dogs because they are not pure breed dogs, rather they are resulted when two different breeds of dogs combine. The BoShih dogs are medium in size, averaging anywhere between 12 inches to 16 inches. They have characteristics of both parent breeds. They have a longish coat which is often tri-coloured. These dogs have face like a Boston Terrier and have a pushed-in snout. The ears are pointy and erect.

Color

These dogs come in variety of colours including, but not limited to, tri-coloured fur.

Coat

They have medium to long coat which is soft to touch. They have a coat which sheds more.

Personality

This breed of dogs is intelligent, alert, happy, playful and curious. They make good family pets. The puppies may need early socialization and some training to learn to be around children and other pets in the family. Overall, these dogs are very good family pets.

Care

Due to their shaggier coat, these dogs need regular brushing.

Training

The BoShih dogs are intelligent and learn quickly. They are easy to train.
