Breed Details

The Bullmatian is a designer dog cross between the Bulldog and Dalmatian. They can be easily be distinguished by having the unique coat and color of a Dalmatian with a unique muscular appearance of a Bulldog. They are friendly breeds, even with children but needs to be socialized as early as puppyhood to keep them from having aggressive behaviors towards kids. They are great family dog.

This breed comes commonly with the one of a kind coat colouring of their Dalmatian parent. It is spotted black with a solid white body colouring. The under layer must be always white while the spots may vary from black, brown, liver, orange, lemon, blue or brindle.

This breed has a short yet smooth coat. Minimal grooming is only needed to upkeep. A weekly brushing and a monthly bathing is all this dog needs to keep their prim appearance.

The Bullmatian a very affectionate, fun-loving, charming, energetic, happy dog. They are very sweet especially to their family but are weary to strangers they never met. They are intelligent breeds but are stubborn so they need to be socialized and trained at an early age. They value their family and loves when they are given the attention they needed. They make a wonderful family companion.

These breeds are minimal shedders and would require minimal brushing and grooming maintenance to upkeep their coat. A weekly brushing and a monthly bathing would be enough for them to keep them clean.

This breed needs an owner who is firm, fair, consistent, calm and patient. They are smart but they are stubborn which hinders their trainability. They do not respond to harsh methods but rather with positive reinforcement. Early socialization and obedience training is recommended.

The Bullmatian is very energetic, lively and will need moderate exercise. A 1-2 hours of exercise per day will suffice their needs. They do well in apartments because they do not require the space of a household to live in and a backyard to roam around is not that much of a need but would be a bonus for them if they are given chances.
