General
The Bulloxer is a cross breed between a Boxer and an American Bulldog. They have the body of a Boxer in height and length with the muscular appearance of the American Bulldog. They are very friendly and love other dogs and children. They make great family pets.
Color
The Bulloxer commonly comes in brown coat with white markings.
Coat
The coat of this breed is short, dense, close-fitting and can be stiff to touch.
Personality
Bulloxers are very friendly and are social dogs. They have a very even temperament, being calm and non-aggressive. They are loving and affectionate, but can be stubborn at times, as it is common with both the Boxer and the American Bulldog. They are very sweet and loving but are known to be active and sometimes hyper. As a puppy they are very smart and quick to learn and strive to please their owners. They can easily be trained with proper training.
Care
The maintenance of a Bulloxer is very easy. They are light shedders and easy to clean. Frequent brushing and grooming maintenance is required. Some may be prone to stomach gas and requires special food, some may also be prone to hip dysplasia.
Training
These breeds are intelligent dogs and takes training fairly well. They require an experienced, dominant owner who is able to train them with fairness, firmness, consistency and with positive reinforcement. Early socialization and obedient training is recommended to refrain these dogs having some behavioral problems.
Activity
The Bulloxers are normally active indoors, very playful and energetic. They can suit well with apartment dwelling and do not require much space but giving them access to a large yard would be a bonus for them. Bulloxers are not best suited for long term exposure to cold weather.
