General
The Cairanian dog breed is the result of cross breed between the Cairn Terrier and the Pomeranian purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs. Their looks and characteristics depend on their parent breeds. They are intelligent, loyal, alert and social dogs. They are small dogs ranging from 8 to 12 inches.
Color
They can have any of the parent breed colours. Some possible colours include black, black and tan, blue, brown, white, grey and red or any mix of these colours.
Coat
They can have dense, thick, rough, harsh and fine coat.
Personality
These dogs are alert, intelligent, loyal and social dogs and can be good family dogs.
Care
This breed is a moderate shedder. Brushing and grooming their coat regularly should help remove excessive hairs and maintain its good looking appearance.
Training
The Cairanian is highly intelligent breed. It is very easy to train. Still, early socialization and obedience training is recommended. The training should be with a trainer who has a firm hand and positive reinforcement.
Activity
The Cairanian is very energetic, playful, lively and fun-loving. Moderate exercises is recommended for this breed so they would enjoy having long hours of walks and other outdoor activities. They can dwell in an apartment living or condo as long as they are given enough exercises to tire them out.
