General
The Carkie dogs are a mix of purebred Cairn Terrier and Purebred Yorkshire Terrier. They are called hybrid dogs. These hybrids are small in size. They are very social and playful dogs and get along well with children provided they are socialized with them from early age.
Color
They are found in golden, brown, gray and white or cream colors.
Coat
They have a long coat that requires regular brushing and maintenance.
Personality
They are small playful dogs that are very social and tend to get along well with children. They may show some willful behavior but that can be addressed by firm and consistent behavior training. If properly socialized from puppyhood, these dogs do well with other dogs and pets in the family. They are alert dogs and make good watchdogs.
