General
The Cattle Collie Dog is a cross between the Australian Cattle Dog and Collie. These breeds are friendly, extremely intelligent, devoted to their family and well-mannered especially when socialized properly. They can be protective when it comes to their territory and family. They are make a perfect family dog and a humane companion.
Color
They come in sable and white with shades of blue, red, blue merle or black.
Coat
The breed has thick, rough, short, straight double coat. Others had their coat grown longer to have a look more like of their Collie parent.
Personality
The Cattle Collie Dogs are playful and eager to please their owners. They are also protective. They get along well with children and even with other dogs. They are smart and intelligent breeds but can be stubborn and independent. Once trained, they will respond to your every command.
Care
This breed sheds little to none. Frequent brushing and grooming maintenance is done to keep their coat upkeep. A weekly brushing and a monthly bath is recommended. Bathing should be done with hypoallergenic or mild soap to refrain possible skin irritations and allergies.
Training
The Cattle Collie Dog is extremely smart and intelligent. They are very easy to train. A firm, consistent and fair trainer is recommended. Early socialization and obedience training is best for this breed.
Activity
This breed loves to run freely and frequent leash walks and trip to the dog park will be required. They are very playful, energetic and loves to always have fun. They will need an above average exercise to keep them physically, mentally fit and healthy.
