General

The Cava-Chin dogs are hybrid dogs and they are produced by cross breeding of purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and purebred Japanese Chin. Do determine the characteristics of the hybrid, a study of the parent breed is necessary. The Cava-Chin dogs are small in size like their parent breeds. They are alert, social, loyal, independent and social. They can be any of several colours and their coat can be silky and fine.

Color

The Cava-Chin dogs can be found in black, red, white and black and tan colouring.

Their coat can be fine and silky.

Personality

These dogs are alert, loyal, intelligent, cheerful and social like their parent dogs. They are also very good with children and make very good family pets. They are alert to the extent that they would alert the family of something unusual otherwise they are quiet dogs. These dogs are very adaptable and would adapt to new people and surroundings easily.

Care

They do not need much of grooming. Brushing their coat every other day should be sufficient to keep it clean.

Training

These dogs can learn new things and tricks but some firm and consistent training may be required if they show stubborn behavior.

Activity

This breed is active indoors. They usually burn off their energies by lots of plays. They still need exercises but rather less than normal.
