General
The Cava-Tzu is a product of cross breed between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Shih-Tzu purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs.
Color
This breed is acceptable in any combination of colors but are most common in cream or white. They can also be in tri-colors.
Coat
Their coat is thick double layered, smooth, can be grown long or medium in length and silky. Their coat gives a nicer look when clipped.
Personality
These hybrids are very loving and active dogs. They are friendly, affectionate, loyal and playful dogs that love to get attention. They are good companion dogs. They are intelligent and learn quickly. They enjoy with all members of the family but specially feel happy when they are among active people. They are very good jumpers.
Care
This breed is easy to maintain and take care. They need regular brushing and grooming as their coat tends to have small knots if not maintained. Trimming can be done according to the preference of the owners. They should be bathed every 2 weeks in a hypoallergenic shampoo as they have a sensitive skin.

They are easy to train. They are intelligent breeds.

They like to play and go for walks. They require several leash walks a day. They are also suited for any sizes for homes, even in apartments.
