Breed Details
General
The Cavapoms are a mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Pomeranian purebreds. They are cute looking, affectionate dogs. These hybrids are very good family and companion pets. Their parent breeds are quite different to each other in looks and same can be said of the Cavapoms. They may have pointy or flappy ear, depending which breed traits are more dominant. Their muzzle could be long or short and more round. They will always have big, round eyes and a cute look along with a sweet expression on their face.
Color
They are found in many different colours. More common colours are tan and black, tan and brown, gray and many solid colours as well as parti-colour (white + 1 colour) pattern.
Coat
Their coat can be fluffy or long and silk and would require regular brushing and grooming.
Personality
They are very fun dogs to have as family pets. They are patient with children and like to be around their family. They are very good companion dogs. These dogs are energetic. loyal, loving, affectionate and agile. They love to be loved. They are athletic as well and can be taken to a dog contest for obedience or fetching games.
Care
Their coat requires regular brushing and bathing as needed. These dogs will need professional grooming twice a year.
Training
They are very intelligent dogs and learn quickly. They are a fun to train if done in the right way. They would respond most to gentle, short training sessions reinforced with love and food rewards.
Activity
They need moderate level of exercise. A walk or playing session is enough for these hybrids.
