Breed Details
General
The Cheeks are small size dogs that are a mix between the Chihuahua and the Pekingese purebreds. These dogs are very loving and affectionate and want to be with their family all the time. They have a longish and dense coat. Their head is round with round and big eyes. The ears can be erect or floppy.
Color
They can be found in many colours. Most common colours being sable, white, tan, blue or slate, red or cream and any of the mix.
Coat
Their coat can be either short or long with long coat being the most common. They require normal brushing and grooming.
Personality
The Cheeks have a loyal and loving nature. They are very agile and active dogs. They like to be with their owners and will follow them every where. These hybrids are good with children and other dogs and pets in the family. They may show some wariness to strangers. They are very alert dogs and caution the owner if they sense something unusual.
Care
Their coat requires normal daily brushing and grooming.
Training
They would require early puppyhood training to learn most things. They are easy to train but training must be firm and consistent.
Activity
They require moderate level of exercise and playing opportunities outdoors.
