The Cherokee Monarch is a designer breed cross between Papillon and Russian Toy Terrier. They have a unique name that doesn't take the two breed's names into consideration like most designer mixes. These cute, energetic and happy dog makes a wonderful humane companion and a great family dog.
Color
They come in variations of brown, tan or golden with shades of black.
Coat
The coat of this breed is medium in length, silky and can either be straight or slightly wavy.
Personality
The Cherokee Monarch is a small bright and happy dog. They are very playful, friendly, loyal, devoted, energetic and lively. They love to please their owners and are so entertaining. They can be great with children, other dogs and are a wonderful family companion.
Care
They shed a little and will only require minimal brushing and grooming maintenance. Brushing them 2-3 times a week will be enough to keep their coat good looking. bathing should be done when necessary, using a mild soap.
Training
These small breeds are highly intelligent and are very easy to train. Early socialization and obedience training is recommended to refrain possible behavioral problems.
Activity
These small dogs are perfect for an apartment dwelling life with their size. They do not require much exercise as they can already burn off most their energies by playing.
