Breed Details

General

The Chusky is a hybrid that is a result of a mix between a Chow Chow and a Siberian Husky purebreds. They are medium to large size dogs that have a lean body and facial features of a Husky. They have long legs and feet that resemble Chow. They can weigh anywhere between 40 to 60 pounds.

Color

Their colour can be black with light red markings and reddish gold colour with white and cream.

Coat

They have double coat that is usually thick, dense and soft.

Personality

The Chusky dogs are very loving, affectionate, alert and fun dogs. They are very protective of their family. They are a little laid back dogs that love to get attention. They attach themselves closely with their family. Chusky dogs need to be socialized with other dogs and pets from early age. They are great family and companion dogs.

Care

They are heavy shedders and would require regular and thorough brushing. The Chusky dogs will need grooming every 2-3 weeks.

Training

They are intelligent dogs and would respond to positive training.

Activity

They have Chow's laid back nature and are less demanding in physical activity. However fair amount of physical activity is recommended for these dogs.
