General

The Cocker Griffon is a hybrid dog and it is a result of cross breeding between a Cocker Spaniel and a Brussels Griffon purebreds. These hybrids can show features and personality traits from both parent breeds. Generally, they are loyal, social, intelligent, cheerful and alert. They are found in many colours and their coat can be either curly or smooth and silk.

Color

Their colouring can be black, black and tan, brown, red and white.

Coat

They can have two types of coats. The coat can be smooth, silk and medium in length or it can be short and wiry.

Personality

With all the noble and loving characteristics, these dogs should make a very good family dog. They are loyal, social, alert, loving, cheerful and intelligent. Both parent breeds are very good with children and the resultant hybrid is no different. They are equally good with other pets and dogs in the family. Being alert, they will let the owner know of any unusual change around them.

Care

These Cocker Griffons would require moderate to frequent grooming. Regular brushing is also recommended.

Training

They are intelligent dogs and would learn quickly. They are easy to train.

Activity

They may require moderate amount of outdoor activity.
