The Cocker Jack is a cross between a purebred Cocker Spaniel and a purebred Jack Russell Terrier. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.

These dogs are small in size with and average height and weight of 12 to 15 inches and 15 to 30 pounds respectively. They are intelligent, cheerful, loyal and social dogs.

Color

The Cocker Jack dogs are found in different colours like black, black and tan, brown and white or any mix of these colours.

Coat

They can have a broken coat like a JRT that is half smooth and half rough or they can have a Spaniel coat that is medium length and silky in nature.

Personality

The Cocker Jack dogs are loving, caring and high energy dogs that are good to all members of the family. They are intelligent and loyal dogs that form a strong bond with their family. They are very human loving dogs and like to be around their owner as much as possible. They are good and gentle with children but should not be treated harshly. These dogs generally get along well with other dogs and pets. With their high levels of energy, they need lots of physical activities to keep their body and mind satisfied.

Care

Supervision over children playing with these dogs is necessary as they may not tolerate rough handling.

Training

Being very intelligent dogs, they are bound to learn quickly. They however, can show independent behavior and may need a firm trainer.
