General

The Corgi Basset is a mix between a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and a Basset Hound purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs or designer dogs. They are alert, loyal, social and intelligent dogs, The comparative study of their parent breeds show that they are small in size, available in different colours and two types of coats.

Color

They are found in black and tan, white, blue and red or any mix of these colours with white colour as prime background colour.

Coat

Their coat can be short, coarse and dense like Basset Hound or it can be fine and medium in length.

Personality

They are very desirable dogs as they have all the required personality traits to be a great family pet. They are loving, social and alert. They get along well with all the family members including children. Their alertness allows them to caution the family of any unusual change in the surrounding. Their social behavior makes them compatible with other dogs and pets in the family.

Care

Their coat requires frequent grooming.

They are intelligent dogs and easy to train.

They may need moderate to high level of exercise and playing opportunities.
