General

The Crested Cavalier dog is a mix breed dog. It is a result of a mix between a Chinese Crested and a Cavalier king Charles purebreds. These dogs are called hybrid dogs. They are small size dogs standing between 9 to 13 inches and having weight in the range of 10-18 pounds.

Since they are a mix breed dogs, their characteristics can be judged by studying their parent breeds.

A comparative study of parent breeds show that these hybrids should be alert, cheerful and social dogs. They can have black, black and tan and red colouring and their coat can be fine and silky.

Color

Common colours for these dogs are black, black with tan and red or a combination of these colours.

They can have short or long coat with fine and silky fur.

Personality

They are very loving and extremely affectionate dogs who love to please their owners. They are very social and will get along well in any environment.
