General
The Crested Peke is a designer dog cross between Chinese Crested and Pekingese. These breeds are wonderful as a family dog as they are driven by wanting to entertain and please their owners. They are calm, non-aggressive and can go along well with children, especially when given socialization and proper obedience training.
Color
They come in brown, golden, tan, sable with shades of black.
Coat
The coat of this breed is long, thick and medium in length.
Personality
The Crested Peke is a happy, loyal and devoted dog. They are non-aggressive and calm and has an even temperament. They are friendly and can go along well with children and other dogs. They are perfect as a human companion.
Care
The Crested Peke sheds very little to none. They will only require minimal grooming maintenance. At least 2-3 times of brushing will keep up their coat. bathing should be done when necessary.
Training
A firm, fair, consistent training is needed for these type of breeds. They can be stubborn at times but can be easily resolved because they like to please their owners. They do not respond to harsh approach and are best with positive reinforcement. Early obedience training and socialization is recommended to refrain possible behavioral problems.
Activity
These breeds does not need much exercise to tire them out. A daily brisk walk will suffice their needs to burn off their energies. They perfectly suit in an apartment dwelling life with their small size.
