General
The Dobie-Basset is a mix between a Basset hound and a Doberman Pinscher purebreds. These dogs are called hybrid dogs or designer dogs. They are large size dogs averaging a height of 22-24 inches and weighing around 60-100 pounds. These dogs are alert, intelligent, loyal and social. They are good for families with older children. These dogs are found in many different colours.
They have features of both parent breeds.
Color
Common colours for these dogs are black, black and tan, blue, brown, gray and white.
Coat
They have short, dense and fine coat.
Personality
They are good family pets provided they are given enough obedience training and ample socialization with other pets. They may have dominant traits that should be dealt with gentle but consistent training sessions. These dogs should be supervises when they are around small children. These dogs will alert their owners of any significant change in the surroundings and are good watch and guard dogs.
Care
They would require daily brushing and average grooming.

They may be willful when it comes to training unless they are properly trained from early age.
