The Docker is a mix breed dog that is obtained by cross breeding between a Dachshund and a Cocker Spaniel purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs because they originate from two different pure breeds. A comparative study of the parent breeds show that they are medium size dogs. They are courageous, social and loyal dogs who can make suitable family pets.
Color
They are found in many colours like black, black and brown, red and white.
Coat
They can have medium length silky or wiry coats.
Personality
The Docker dogs are very social and loyal dogs. They should make good family pets with their courageous attitude. They are loving and affectionate. They are more suitable for families with older children and supervision is necessary when they are around small children although they are good with children. These dogs may show pack leader attitude if they are not properly trained from puppyhood.
Care
These dogs would need frequent grooming and average brushing.
Training
They are not easy to train due to their willful and stubborn behavior. They may need to be trained with firm and consistent training sessions.
