General

The Dogue Brasileiro dogs are a mix between a Bull Terrier and a Boxer purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs because they originate from two different pure breeds. The Dogue Brasileiro dogs are strong and well-muscled dogs. They are medium to large in size having a body that gives off impression of agility and strength. These dogs are friendly and loving towards all members of the family. They are alert and make very good watch/guard dogs. They have a dense and shiny coat that is found in a variety of colours.

They are found in different colour combinations. Common colour combination for these dogs are black, white and brown.

They have a shiny and dense short-haired coat.

Personality

The Dogue Brasileiro dogs are a perfect mix between a Bull terriers courage and a Boxer's docility. They are obedient, loyal and even-tempered dogs that get along well with small children. They are eager to please dogs that are not aggressive unless they sense a genuine threat. They are a great choice as family pet and watch/guard dogs.

Care

This breed is moderate shedder and would require average brushing in their short-haired coat.

Training

They are very easy to train dogs. They should learn fast.

Activity

They are quite energetic dogs that need fair amount of exercise. They would ideally like to be in a house with a yard but will do o.k. in a small house or apartment if given ample exercise opportunities. Daily walk and playing opportunities are necessary for these dogs.
