Breed Details
General
The EngAm Bulldog / Olde Bulldog is a mix between an English Bulldog and an American Bulldog purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs or designer dogs and have features of both parent breeds.
These dogs have typical bulldog appearance as both parent breeds are bulldogs. These hybrids are stocky, strong and muscular. They are medium to large size dogs weighing around 70-110 pounds and standing at 20-27 inches.
They are found in white with red patches, brindle and fawn. Their coat is usually short in length and it is rough to touch.
They are good with all members of the family and would make great family pets.
Color
These hybrids are found in white with red patches, fawn and brindle colours.
Coat
They can have short and rough coat.
Personality
These strong-looking hybrids are very family oriented dogs that love to be with their family rather than play in the yard. They are very loving and affectionate and generally very social dogs. Despite their looks, they are not aggressive with strangers although they may show aloofness initially but will soon socialize with them. They are patient and gentle with small children and other dogs and pets in the family but early socialization is necessary. These dogs do not require lots of exercise. They are not very active and will prefer sleeping rather than chasing a ball. They make great family and companion dogs.
Care
This breed sheds less to none. They will only need minimal brushing and grooming maintenance. Bathing should be done when necessary.
Training
They are somewhat stubborn and not so intelligent and may be difficult to train. They would require consistent and gentle training sessions.
Activity
The EngAm Bulldogs are not overly active dogs. Infact, they prefer to sleep or sit beside their owners rather than go out and play. Despite this lazy attitude, they would require walk and other playing activities.
