General
The Foxhoodle is a mix between an English Foxhound and a Poodle purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs because they originate from two different pure breed dogs and have features and characteristics of both parent breeds.
The Foxhoodles are intelligent, elegant and lively dogs. They are gentle, social and tolerant dog breed that get along well with all members of the family. They are found in different colours and their coat can be a mix of two parent breeds or it can resemble to one of the them.
They are good dogs for the whole family.
Color
They are found in many colours like black, black and tan, white, blue, gray, silver and brown or a mix of these colours.
Coat
The Foxhoodles can have single, dense and curly coat of a Poodle or they can have short , rough and fine coat of an English Foxhound.
Personality
The Foxhoodles are gentle, good natured and loving dogs. They are social and love human company. They get along well with other dogs and pets in the family. With small children, they are gentle and caring though supervision is advised as with any dog. These dogs are very active and lively and would love outdoor running and other playing activities. These dogs are eager for family attention and want to be the center of attention. They may need to be constantly stimulated mentally and like to learn and do new things otherwise can easily become bored. They are very loving and affectionate dogs to have as family pets.
Care
Their Poodle like coat will require frequent brushing as the coat does shed and the shedding fur can matt and become tangled.
Training
They are intelligent dogs and would respond very well to new and innovative training routines. They can get bored easily if made to repeat same routines time and again and can become stubborn. They are quick learners.
Activity
The Foxhoodles are highly active dogs and would like lots of outdoor activities including running and playing. They would also need to be taken for regular walks to keep their energy levels under certain limits.
