The Foxy Rat Terrier is a mixed breed of Rat Terrier and Toy Fox Terrier. These breeds are highly intelligent, athletic, loving and playful. They are very friendly and gets along well with children and other pets raised with them. They are wonderful humane companion.
They come mostly in varieties of colors and patterns. But they usually are common in white with brown and black accents.
The coat of these breed is short, single coated, silky and soft to touch.
The Foxy Rat Terrier is a happy, charming, lovable, fun and playful breed. They are devoted to their family and wanted to please their owners. They are great with playmates and companions but requires proper obedience training to refrain possible dog aggression and behavioral problems. They make a great family dog.
They shed minimal and are very easy to take care. A weekly brushing and regular bathing when needed with a mild soap would be enough to keep them healthy.
The Foxy Rat Terrier is a highly intelligent breed. They are very easy to train. Early obedience training and socialization is advised for better temperament of the breed.
These breeds are normally active indoors, playful and very energetic. They will require moderate daily exercises. A 2-3 hours of routine exercises, on leash walks & runs and outdoor activities are recommended. They will suit perfectly in an apartment dwelling. They do not require a large room but a backyard would be a great bonus for them.
