General
The Foxy Russell is a mix between a purebred Toy Fox Terrier and a purebred Yorkshire Terrier. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
They are small dogs with an average height and weight of 7 to 11 inches and 4 to 9 pounds respectively. They are active, intelligent and loyal dogs that can be over protective and territorial if not properly trained.
Color
They are found in black, black and tan, brown, blue and black or white or any mix of these colors.
Coat
Their coat is fine, straight and silky that needs proper grooming.
Personality
The Foxy Russell dogs are very active and lively. They are good with children as well as with all family members. They can get along with other dogs and pets in the family although early age socialization is necessary. They are loving and friendly dogs who like to be with their family as much as possible. They are cuddly dogs who like to cuddle or snuggle near their owners. They are very good companion dogs to have. They are social but wary of strangers which makes them good watch dogs.
Care
Their short to medium length coat will need minimal to moderate level of grooming. These dogs should be bathe when needed.
Training
They are intelligent and can be trained but may show stubbornness occasionally. They will need firm and consistent trainer to train these dogs.
Activity
They are active and lively dogs that will need fair amount of physical activities. A daily walk is necessary for these dogs.
