Breed Details
General
The Free-Lance Bulldogs are a result of mixing a pure bred Bulldog with a purebred French Bulldog. The resulting dogs are called hybrid or designer dogs because they are obtained from cross breeding of two different pure breeds. These hybrids have features and characteristics of both parent breeds.
They are small size dogs not standing more than 16 inches and have weight in between 30 to 50 pounds. These dogs are cheerful, courageous, loyal and social. They are found in different parent breed colours. They have large head with medium length muzzle. They have strong looking and compact body.
Color
Common colours for these hybrids are black, brown, red and white or a mix of these colours.
Coat
They have a short to medium length fine coat.
Personality
The Free-Lance Bulldogs are gentle and good natured dogs. They are very loving and affectionate towards their family and like to spend most of their time with them. They are eager to please and sweet dogs who will only bark to draw attention. They are very suitable for urban life style and can fit into apartments. These dogs are not very active and do not require lots of room to play. They do need daily exercise though. The Free-Lance Bulldogs are very gentle and affectionate towards children. They are even-tempered dogs who are not aggressive at all. They are very good companion dogs and love human company. All in all, they are a good choice for family pets.
Care
Their bulk and compromising breathing system makes them unsuitable for hard exercises and extreme weather conditions. They should not be exercised during very hot and very cold temperatures as they may face difficulty in regulating their blood circulation.
Training
They are not as easy to train as some other dog breeds. They may show stubborn behavior of a Bulldog towards training and need a patient and consistent owner to train them properly.
Activity
The Free-Lance Bulldogs are not very active dogs. They do not require anything special other than regular walks.
