Breed Details
General
The Frengle is a product of cross breeding a French Bulldog and a Beagle purebreds. They are referred to as hybrid or designer dogs due to their origination from two different pure breed dogs.
The Frengle has a body of the French Bulldog with head and nose of a Beagle. Their ears are more like French Bulldog. They are found in bridled colours and tail is docked or long resembling either Bulldog or Beagle in appearance.
Color
They are mostly found in mix colours with white markings on the body. Some common colours for these dogs are black, brown, red and white.
Coat
They can have short and fine coat of a French Bulldog or a rough coat of a Beagle.
Personality
The Frengle dogs are alert, cheerful, intelligent and social dogs. They are gentle and even-tempered dogs who love being with humans. They are eager to please dogs and get along well with small children although supervision and socialization is always important. The Frengles are intelligent but can be stubborn at times. They are wary of strangers but not aggressive and with proper introduction, they warm up to them. This makes them unsuitable for guard dogs but their alertness and attentiveness and ability to bark when confronted with unfamiliar makes them good watchdogs.
