General
The German Australian Shepherd dogs are a mix of a purebred German Shepherd and a purebred Australian Shepherd. They are called designer or hybrid dogs as they originate from two different pure breeds.
These hybrids are medium to large in size standing around 26 inches and weighing in between 40 to 88 pounds.
The German Australian Shepherd dogs are high energy and very active dogs. They are loyal and protective of their family. These hybrids get along well with all family members but can be wary of strangers. They are found in different colours.
They make good family pets and excellent guard/watch dogs.
Color
Coat colours for these dogs are a mix of both parent breeds. Most common colours for these dogs are black, blue, gray, silver, white and red or tan.

Personality
The German Australian Shepherd dogs are alert, loyal, intelligent and social dogs with high levels of energy. They are very loyal to their family and enjoy spending time with them. They are loving and friendly dogs with family members but can be standoffish towards strangers. These dogs get along very well with small children but would need proper training from puppyhood. They are very protective of their family and house and will do their very best being a watch and guard dog. They are very active and high energy dogs and would require lots of exercise and playtime to relieve their energies. A 2-3 hour exercise schedule daily is necessary for these dogs. These dogs are affectionate and loving towards their family and make great family dogs.

They are high energy dogs if under exercised, they may develop destructive behavior.
Training
They are highly intelligent dogs that love to do something purposeful all the time. They are very easy to train.
Activity
These high energy and active dogs need atleast two to three hours of daily exercise routines and playing/running opportunities daily.
