General

The Glechon dogs are a mix between a Bichon Frise and a Beagle purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.

The Glechon dogs are alert, cheerful, intelligent and social dogs that are very active and lively dogs. They are small dogs that stand around 16 inches and weigh in between 15-35 pounds. They are found in different colours.

They are very good family pets and companion dogs.

Color

They are found in black, black and tan, red and white or a mix of these colours.

Coat

The Glechon dogs have wiry and rough coat that may shed or not shed at all.

Personality

The Glechon dogs are very loving, affectionate and friendly dogs. They love to be around their family and enjoy their company. They are very cheerful and gentle dogs with even temperament. They are very good with children and make good playmates. These dogs get along well with other pets in the family. They are alert but easily warm up to strangers. This makes them unsuitable as guard dogs but they can be used as watchdogs as they will alert the family of any approaching stranger. The Glechon dogs are very intelligent. They have very strong sense of scent and will follow a scent if let loose. They are generally obedient dogs but can show willful behavior if not properly trained from puppyhood. They are very charming and excellent family dogs.

Care

This breed requires normal brushing and average grooming. Care should be taken when feeding these dogs as they are prone to obesity.

Training

Though very intelligent, they may show stubborn behavior if they get bored. They will require firm and consistent training sessions to eradicate this behavior. They may or may not be easy to train.

Activity

Although these dogs are very active and have high energy levels, they require moderate amount of exercise. A daily walk should take care of their exercise needs.
