The Golden Irish dogs are a mix between a Golden Retriever and an Irish Setter purebreds. They are called hybrid dogs as they originate from two different pure breeds.

The Golden Irish dogs are medium in size. They stand about 22-26 inches and have weight in the region of 65-75 pounds. They are alert, intelligent and social dogs that are found in different colours.

Color

These hybrids sport red and yellow colour the most.

Coat

These dogs have long and silky coat that needs very regular grooming to keep it clean and free of matting.

Personality

The Golden Irish dogs are friendly, intelligent and even tempered. They are very pretty looking and trustworthy. These dogs are very good with children and make good play mates. They also get along well with other dogs and pets in the family but socialization is necessary. These hybrids are friendly to guests. They are not good guard dogs due to lack of natural assertive behavior. They are affectionate and loving dogs who like human company. These dogs are good family and companion dogs.

Care

Their coat requires regular grooming to keep it clean and matt-free. They may have skin allergies so care is required to prevent skin problems.
