General
The Golden Mountain Dog is a mix between a purebred Golden Retriever and a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog. They are called hybrid dogs as they originate from two different pure breeds.
They are medium size dogs that stand around 26 inches and weigh around 120 pounds. These dogs are alert, intelligent, loyal and social. They are very good family and watchdogs.
Color
They are found in different colours. Common colours are black, red, yellow and white.
Coat
Their medium to long length coat requires brushing every 2-4 days.
Personality
The Golden Mountain Dogs are very loving, loyal and affectionate. They are very friendly and cheerful dogs that are very human loving. They need to be with their family most of the time and are eager to please. They socialize with guests well if early training is provided. They are not very good guard dogs as they lack natural assertive character but are good watchdogs. These dogs are very loving and friendly towards children. They love to play with children and show patience and even temperament towards them. They are equally good with other dogs and pets in the family. They are active dog breed and would need fair amount of playing and exercise time to relieve their energy. The Golden Mountain Dogs are excellent family and watchdogs.
Care
Their coat requires moderate grooming. These hybrids should be cared for skin allergies.

They are easy to train dogs. They respond well to firm but gentle training routines.
