General
The Havapeke is a cross mix between a purebred Havanese and a purebred Pekingese. The Havapeke dogs are called hybrid dogs due to their origination from two different pure breeds.
The Havapeke dogs are small in size, standing at 12 inches max. and weighing around 8-16 pounds. These hybrids are loving and affectionate dogs that are well-behaved with all family members.
They are found in different colours. These hybrids are well suited for apartment life.
Color
The Havapeke dogs are found in different colours like black, brown, blue, brown, gray, silver and white and a mix of these colours.
Coat
These dogs have a long coat that is either soft and silky like a Havanese or rough and harsh like a Pekingese.
Personality
The Havapeke dogs are loving and intelligent. They are sweet and friendly to their owners and very gentle, patient and playful with children. They are intelligent dogs and not difficult to train. They like to be with their family most of the time and will make very good companion dogs. The Havapeke dogs need early obedience training and proper socialization with other dogs and pets in the family. They will get along well with other canine or non-canine pets with proper training. These dogs are alert and attentive to their surroundings and will alert the family of any thing unusual or of an approaching stranger. These dogs make very good family and companion dogs as well as very efficient watch dogs.
Care
Their coat requires minimal grooming and brushing.
Training
They are easy to train dogs and will not pose any difficulty when it comes to training.
Activity
They are active dogs that would need daily walk to keep themselves happy and fit.
